Douglas Howat

Doug is a local Ayrshire artist who studied at Glasgow School of Art and qualified as an architect.  His training gave him a great interest in colour and form, good composition being a very important part of his work. He paints mainly in oil and watercolour.  His colours reflect his mood at the time, not necessarily representationally.  Colours change.  Hopefully the viewer will appreciate and enjoy these feelings.  Various galleries in Scotland have hung his work successfully.
