A graduate of Edinburgh College of Art, Margaret began her career as an art teacher in East Kilbride. After moving back to Ayrshire, she established a ceramics business, supplying shops and galleries with her porcelain pieces and a range of ceramic jewellery, a business which continues today. Moving to Ayr in 2012, she returned to painting which has become a very important practice, working mainly in acrylics, featuring landscape and still life. She is an elected member of The Glasgow Society of Women Artists. She has exhibited at various group exhibitions including The Maclaurin Gallery in Ayr, North Ayrshire Open, Paisley Art Institute, Royal Glasgow Institute, The Lillie Gallery, Stirling Smith Gallery and The Beacon Art Centre.
