Alex Henderson

A native of Lendalfoot, South Ayrshire, Alex resurrected his interest in painting in 1994 by enrolling at Ayr Academy night school art class and was admitted as an artist member to Ayr Sketch Club in 1995.  His favoured medium is watercolour and he soon became known as an impressionistic colourist with a wide range of subject matter.  He exhibits on a regular basis with the Club and Save The Children exhibitions at The Maclaurin Gallery. He has also exhibited in Ayr Town and County Halls, together with Ayr Hospital and CLIC Sargent Art and Heart exhibitions. Over the last sixteen years, Alex has been an active Club member and President on two occasions (2005 and 2007).
